My first post will be brief, so that I can see if I am doing this correctly! After many months of enjoying other blogs, I am taking the big step of starting one of my own. It is my hope that I will be able to share my heart. In doing so, I hope to allow family and friends a closer look at our day to day life here in Thailand, and perhaps, make some new friends, too.
I feel somewhat intimidated--like the first day at a new school!
Hopefully, this blog will be a blessing in my life and in the lives of others.

- Much of my life revolves around relationships: Trying to keep in step with God’s Spirit and receiving refreshment from times of worshipping in His presence; Enjoying my close friendship with my husband and continually being reminded of the advice Ruth Bell Graham was given before she was married--“When two people always agree on everything, then one of them is no longer necessary.” Philip and I are both necessary; Listening to the anecdotes of the three children in my home (Maurissa, 15, Shaina, 13, Isaac, 12). I love how our family time often erupts in hilarious laughter. Which, unfortunately, is usually at my expense; Continuing to love, learn and grow as Kevin's mother, Erica's mother-in-law, and JR and Joseph's ThaiGram; Encouraging and equipping the energetic youth who come to our house…even though I turned forty this year, being included in their jokes and fun keeps me feeling young; Finding much encouragement from the incredible friends God has given me here in Bangkok...friends of all nationalities who bless me by sharing their lives with me; And, communicating and loving family and friends who live far away...how thankful we are for your love and prayers.
